TechAmerica is moving forward under a single CompTIA brand name and officially integrating into the CompTIA family. See what we’ve been doing and how this integrated membership presents new opportunities for you.

After a whirlwind three days of CompTIA ChannelCon, I am on my way home. The captain just informed us that we are the “first revenue flight” for this brand new airplane. This seems oddly appropriate as I reflect on my takeaways from the event. So much ground was covered in the many community and council meetings, training and education sessions, keynotes and networking opportunities at ChannelCon, but everything seemed to revolve around the concept of new models.

CompTIA is no longer the best-kept secret in town. The association has come up with a new, open-access membership model that enables both individuals and businesses to benefit directly from CompTIA resources, communities and programs at no cost, while simultaneously bringing more exclusivity and value to our dues-paying members.

CompTIA’s Advisory Councils held their 2014 Council Planning Meeting in Miami last week. I attended this meeting, and while the beautiful weather outside was certainly a perk, it was the conversation inside that made the trip most enjoyable and inspiring. This week, CompTIA’s CEO Todd Thibodeaux had the distinct pleasure of participating in a White House event hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden (also attended by their supportive spouses, the President and Vice President) to celebrate the success of a program they spearheaded called Joining Forces.  CompTIA has played an important role in Joining Forces since its inception.  To date we have certified nearly 12,000 transitioning troops, putting them on a pathway to s ...
