July 18 session will explore newest professional credential from leading IT certification body
Downers Grove, Ill. – CompTIA, the leading provider of vendor-neutral skills certifications for the information technology workforce, today invited its academy, content and delivery partners to participate in a webinar to preview the new CompTIA PenTest+ certification.
Due for worldwide release on July 31, CompTIA PenTest+ assesses the latest penetration testing and vulnerability assessment and management skills that IT professionals need to run a successful, responsible penetration testing program.
The partner webinar is scheduled for 11 a.m. CDT on Wednesday, July 18. CompTIA partners interested in participating in the CompTIA Pentest+ webinar can register here.
CompTIA PenTest+ is targeted at cybersecurity professionals responsible for hands-on penetration testing and vulnerability assessment. Some of the job roles that will benefit from this certification include penetration tester, vulnerability tester, security analyst, vulnerability assessment analyst, network security operations, and application security vulnerability.
CompTIA PenTest+ is unique in the certification market because it requires cybersecurity professionals to demonstrate through real-world simulations their hands-on ability to test devices in new environments, such as the cloud, the Internet of Things and mobile, in addition to desktops and servers.
Individuals are tested in five technical areas related to penetration testing: planning and scoping; information gathering and vulnerability identification; attacks and exploits; penetration testing tools; and reporting and communication.
