CompTIA’s communities have long been considered the building blocks of the association’s industry-focused initiatives, education, research and programs. That’s why it’s fitting that CompTIA is kicking off its ChannelCon conference in Orlando, FL, with Community Day on Monday, July 29.

ChannelCon takes place July 29 to 31 at the Peabody Orlando Hotel. The event is an opportunity for solution providers, vendors and other industry professionals to come together to work in communities and receive advanced training in a number of innovative and important practice disciplines. Whether you’re a community leader or brand new to CompTIA, Community Day gives attendees the opportunity to participate in a new capacity. Members are encouraged to engage within their own community groups and check out other meetings as well.

Work with cloud or SaaS computing? Consider attending the Cloud/SaaS community meeting on Monday, July 29, at 2:30 p.m. The Cloud/SaaS community is seeking members to step up and participate in valuable discussions that are critical to the industry’s success.

Manage IT services? The Managed Services community is for you! Stop by the Managed Services community meeting on Monday, July 29, at 9:00 a.m. and learn what the group has accomplished, including launching the Managed Services Trustmark, and what’s on its plate for the remainder of the year.

Interested in the services and support side of the business? Check out the IT Services and Support meeting on Monday, July 29, at 9:00 a.m. and learn how the IT Services and Support community works together to identify best-in-class services and develop benchmark reports and research studies specific to the industry.

Do you sell or work with mobile computing technologies? The Mobility community has developed an industry roadmap and is working on exciting initiatives such as marketing campaigns and app development. Learn more about what’s on the horizon at the Mobility community meeting on Monday, July 29, at 11:30 a.m.

Focused on print services? The Managed Print Services community is quickly gaining momentum! The group’s membership and activities continues to grow. If you have an interest in managed print services you should be at the Managed Print Services meeting on Monday, July 29, at 2:30 p.m.

Looking to empower and inspire women in the IT field? Check out the Advancing Women in IT (AWIT) community. This group runs a variety of career development programs and works on a number of initiatives involving women and their careers. The group will gather at the Advancing Women in IT dinner on Tuesday, July 30, at 7:30 p.m. RSVP is required for this dinner.

Concerned with technology security? Drop by the IT Security community reception on Wednesday, July 31, starting at 4:15 p.m. The IT Security community has worked hard to develop several member-driven initiatives including the State Data Breach Notification Laws database. Stop by and learn how you can help increase the quality of services and solutions offered across the industry.

Work in the communications field? It’s been an exciting year for the communications and technology industry and businesses that rely on the products and services they provide. Members of the Unified Communications community are proud of the efforts they’ve put forth to develop best practices, education programs, standards and member-driven initiatives.
