CompTIA is proud to announce that its public sector practice and Jennifer Saha, director of CompTIA’s public sector councils, were named finalist for Route Fifty’s Navigator Awards in the category of the Government Allies and Cross Sector Partners category.
Route Fifty’s Navigator Award honors individuals and teams of individuals who either work in or with state, county and municipal government in the U.S. Finalists were chosen for their demonstrated abilities to implement a great idea that improves public sector services and the communities they serve.
Why CompTIA was Chosen as a Finalist?
After Senate Bill 20 imposed new rules on Texas purchasing, the state relied on CompTIA to establish a procurement committee. CompTIA launched an education campaign and recently released guidance for department CIOs wary of speaking with vendors for fear of violating Senate Bill 20 regulations. In partner states, CompTIA created a neutral, collaborative conduit between government and the technology industry, just like with the Texas Department of Information Resources.

Team CompTIA and Jennifer were named finalist for the Navigator Award because of their continued hard work to engage vendors early and often about pending legislation that has the potential to spur growth in the wake of reform,” said Dave Nyczepir, editor of Route Fifty.
