The Technology Channels Association (TCA) is merging with CompTIA to create the U.K.’s largest trade association for the channel, the CompTIA TCA Community. In addition to TCA benefits, such as Confidence Assurance, TCA members now gain access to CompTIA’s portfolio of educational and operational resources.

Keith Warburton, president of TCA, commented on the new merger:

“These are exciting times for the Technology Channels Association as we become the latest community of CompTIA. As a 17-year-old, non-profit association in the U.K., we have been used to paddling our own canoe – all that changes now, as we join with the largest global trade body for the ICT sector.  We have to get used to working with a bigger team!

One of the major changes is that we don’t have to do everything ourselves – there are other people in CompTIA who are really good at what they do and who are committed to providing some fantastic member services.

It will be a bit of a challenge for a few weeks as the TCA team understands the full scope of CompTIA’s services to the ICT community and how we best fit in. I guess this a little bit how it fees to be adopted!”
