When the situation occurs on television, it’s entertaining. But when you’re called into court to face criminal charges or answer a civil lawsuit in real life, it’s not so amusing.  Legal Resources is divided into several sections:

  • Maintaining Your Business provides agreement templates for service levels, software licensing, consulting services and a coordinated FAQ page to use as a guide.

  • Succession Planning includes information for business owners considering selling their business, including developing buy/sell agreements, business dissolution and more.

  • Technology Law covers the latest legal issues affect IT businesses.


One final feature of CompTIA Legal Resources is the ability for members to submit a legal question to a qualified attorney—at no cost. The association’s in-house and outside legal team will provide you with answers to questions concerning virtually every aspect of your business. Though they won’t replace a lawyer in every instance, these comprehensive yet easy-to-use resources help IT service providers to follow proper industry compliance guidelines, while saving some money at the same time!
