Fiberlink Communications made headlines in late 2013 when it was scooped up by IBM, and the mobile device management provider keeps making noise with the help of CompTIA’s Mobility+ certification. Last month, Fiberlink unveiled a new certification for its partners called the MaaS360 Partner Certification Program. As a prerequisite, anyone entering the MaaS360 Academy must first earn the CompTIA Mobility+ certification.

Mobility+ combined with the MaaS360 Academy will optimize the partner’s mobility proficiency to drive new opportunities and effectively design, manage and secure any mobile environment, according to Fiberlink.

“CompTIA Mobility+ is extremely well-designed for partners to acquire the basic knowledge to deliver mobility services and mobility technical skills,” said Francois Daumard, vice president of channels for North America at Fiberlink. “By adding our own content on top of Mobility+, we know partners will be well equipped for success in the mobility space.”

Fiberlink’s new certification went into effect Feb. 1.
